HaTikvah @ 60 for Israel Birthday

This unique project is aimed at introducing Israel's national anthem to Jews all over the world for Israel's 60th birthday, convey its contents and significance, and enable anyone to learn how to sing it. click here and start singing.

The Education Department website features educational resources related to HaTikvah, and a multimedia platform to teach the tune and words of the national anthem.

The Israel Birthday Hatikvah Project has also teamed up with Israel Channel Two Television, and on May 7th will be broadcasting live from different locations around the world.

Your video on TV:

If you would like to send us a video of an original performance of Hatikvah and possibly have it broadcasted on Channel Two Televison please make sure to:

1- Film the performance in DV, mini DV or DVD format.

2- Make sure the camera is stable (try using a tripod for example).

3- Make sure as many participants as possible are captured in the frame. However, make sure the frame is not too wide, we need to be able to see you singing.

4- Send us the video (israel60@jafi.org)

Hatikvah Guinness World Record

The Israel Birthday Hatikvah initiative intends to attempt the Guinness World Record for "Most people singing an anthem simultaneously" on May 7, 2008. Each community/ orginization/Jewsih school etc. that will take part in setting this record, will be awarded an exclusive "Guinness World Record" certificate recognizing the achievement.
